The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rosario bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Obstaculo looking for a sweep but Rosario has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Obstaculo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rosario controlling his opponent.
Obstaculo tries to buck Rosario off but he can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Obstaculo tries to lock up and control but Rosario gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rosario get's back to his feet.

A right-left combo lands from Obstaculo.

It looks like Elvis Rosario has been cut.

Obstaculo forces Rosario back against the cage and clinches.

Obstaculo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Obstaculo throws a head kick but Rosario moves out of range.
Rosario wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Obstaculo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rosario manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rosario clinches up with Obstaculo and pushes him back against the cage.
Rosario lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Obstaculo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Obstaculo tries to circle away but Rosario has him pinned against the cage.
Rosario misses with a hook to the ribs.
Obstaculo is trying to push Rosario away but Rosario has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rosario misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Obstaculo.
Rosario prevents Obstaculo from breaking the clinch.
Rosario tries to land knees in the clinch but Obstaculo avoids the damage to the body.
Obstaculo tries for a takedown but Rosario manages to get underhooks.
Rosario goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Obstaculo can't break the clinch.

Obstaculo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Obstaculo lands with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rosario avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Obstaculo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rosario is trying to defend but Obstaculo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rosario wants to get back to full guard.
Rosario tries to kick Obstaculo off but Obstaculo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rosario is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rosario pushes Obstaculo off looking to stand but Obstaculo dives back in and keeps control.
Rosario slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Obstaculo wants to control from the top but Rosario keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rosario gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Obstaculo lands an elbow inside that Rosario shrugs off.
Obstaculo is trying to break the clinch but Rosario is controlling him.
Obstaculo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Obstaculo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rosario walks away with a smile on his face. Obstaculo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rosario darts in and clinches Obstaculo up against the cage.
Obstaculo wants a takedown.
Elvis Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jom Obstaculo.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Obstaculo managing to block the knees to the body from Rosario.
Obstaculo avoiding damage as Rosario throws knees to the body.
Rosario misses with a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Elvis Rosario will probably get the nod.

Obstaculo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rosario manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Obstaculo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Obstaculo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Obstaculo lands a big head kick that sends Rosario tumbling to the mat! Obstaculo takes a step backwards and waves Rosario back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rosario is rocked!
Obstaculo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rosario sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Obstaculo somewhat.
Oh Rosario is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Elvis Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jom Obstaculo.

Obstaculo is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Rosario is in big trouble! Obstaculo is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Rosario. Poor guy.
