Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carly Sarmiento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrell Budroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarmiento comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budroe misses with a wild combination.
Budroe throws a right and a left that Sarmiento avoids nicely.
Budroe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sarmiento clinches up against the cage.
Sarmiento is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Budroe gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sarmiento is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Budroe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Budroe lands with a nice combination. Sarmiento backs away looking to recover.

Sarmiento is rocked!
Budroe throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sarmiento's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Budroe dives in looking to finish as Sarmiento flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Budroe's strikes! Budroe is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sarmiento's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sarmiento was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
