Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Chan shoots in and bounces Boyd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chan is looking to pass into half guard but Boyd pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Boyd is in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boyd's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Chan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boyd stacks Chan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boyd!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Boyd avoids the strikes from the bottom by Chan.
Boyd throws an elbow but Chan slips to the side and avoids it well.
Chan is trying to work for a sweep but Boyd has mounted him!

Boyd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chan wants to hold on but Boyd pushes him away.
Chan is in a horrible position here. Boyd smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Boyd is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Boyd is landing with some decent strikes but Chan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
