The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mata clinches up with Travis and pushes him back against the cage.

Mata throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Travis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mata tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mata has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Travis is looking to get back to his feet here but Mata is keeping cool and he's managed to take Travis's back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Travis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mata looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
