No luck with that takedown attempt from Salinas.

John Cena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cena looks to land a combination but Salinas avoids it well.

Salinas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cena is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Salinas.

Cena looks up at the clock and then as Salinas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cena smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cena tries to clinch but Salinas moves out of range.

Cena manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salinas on his heels. He'll look to pass Salinas's guard now, I'm sure.

Cena seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

A big strike lands for Cena! That's really hurt Salinas and he's turned his back - Cena keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Cena jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
