Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler Daly!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daly fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stevens avoids it really well and circles away.

Stevens clinches up with Daly and pushes him back against the cage.
Daly tries to circle away but Stevens has him pinned against the cage.
Stevens gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Daly.

Stevens gets control of Daly's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stevens will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Stevens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daly's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stevens will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stevens advances position into side control!
Stevens moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daly can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daly pushes Stevens away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stevens gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Stevens remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Stevens advances to full mount.
Daly is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Daly looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Stevens has the hooks in. Daly is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Stevens controlling from the back.

Daly defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Stevens's arms.

Daly is holding on to Stevens 's glove but Stevens gets free and slips his arm under Daly 's chin. This could be big trouble! Yes, Daly is tapping furiously and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kyle Stevens!
