Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Diamondback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Hein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Diamondback!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Hein!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamondback circles away from the clinch attempt.

Diamondback looking to score a takedown here. Hein is defending well but Diamondback drives through and ends up in Hein's guard.

Hein has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Diamondback is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Diamondback tries for a takedown. No joy.

Diamondback successfully pulls guard.

Hein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diamondback has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hein has managed to get both his arms back between Diamondback's legs - danger averted.
Diamondback looking for a sweep. Not yet Diamondback, not yet.
Diamondback looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hein puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Diamondback gets back to full guard.
Hein advances to half guard.
Diamondback wants to get back to full guard.
Hein trying to control from half guard but Diamondback is working away.
Diamondback is doing well to control the position and prevent Hein from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diamondback is trying to stand back up but Hein is controlling him

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Diamondback is looking to control Hein's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diamondback avoid being mounted?
Diamondback is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hein's back!
Hein is trying to stand back up.

Hein defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Diamondback's arms.
Hein looking very determined here, making life difficult for Diamondback.

Diamondback misses with punches from the back.
Diamondback connects with a big shot to the side of Hein's head.
Diamondback is landing with strikes from the back.

Diamondback is persistently looking for the submission but Hein is defending it well.
Diamondback wants to control but Hein manages to buck him off and is now in Diamondback's guard! Nice work there by Hein!

Hein gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diamondback moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hein lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Joseph Diamondback has been cut.
Hein scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diamondback takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hein with a jab.
Diamondback shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hein defends it nicely.
Despite the aggression on Hein's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Robert Hein will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Joseph Diamondback's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Hein fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diamondback, pushing him back against the cage.
Hein can't break the clinch.
Diamondback leaning against his opponent.
Hein is looking to control Diamondback's arms but Diamondback gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hein has his back to the cage.

Diamondback tightens his grip and picks Hein up, before dumping him to the ground. Hein manages to land in guard.
Diamondback trying to control the position from guard on top but Hein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diamondback stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hein swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hein wants to stand but Diamondback is controlling the position.

Diamondback working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Hein has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hein slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Diamondback is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hein's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Diamondback slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Diamondback has an active guard here but Hein has managed to pass into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Diamondback wants to control but Hein is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Diamondback looking for a sweep but Hein has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Hein looking to control but Diamondback is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Diamondback is trying desperately to improve position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Robert Hein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Diamondback tries to clinch up but Hein circles away and keeps his distance.
Hein looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Robert Hein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hein connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jab, jab by Hein - just one landing.
Hein thuds a left hand into Diamondback's body.
Hein fails in his attempt to clinch.
A combination from Hein does no damage.
Joseph Diamondback is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hein tries to bum rush Diamondback with a series of wild strikes but Diamondback uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hein misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diamondback.
Diamondback gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hein counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No joy there for Hein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diamondback tries to clinch but Hein moves out of range.

Hein feints a jab promting Diamondback to slip. Hein then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diamondback slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hein falls off balance throwing a combination

and Diamondback counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hein won't be happy with that.
Diamondback lands a decent elbow from side control.
Diamondback wants to control but Hein is keeping him busy.

Diamondback goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hein rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Diamondback's guard! Nice work there by Hein!
Diamondback tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Diamondback is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Diamondback wants to control but Hein passes easily into half guard.
Hein controlling the action here.
Hein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diamondback does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joseph Diamondback overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hein is pressing down on Diamondback's thigh, looking to free his foot. Diamondback is holding on for now.
Diamondback wants to control but Hein is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Diamondback shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hein defends it nicely.

Robert Hein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hein winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
