Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romelu Lukaku !
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukaku cracks Matsuo with an open hand slap.
Matsuo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Matsuo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lukaku .
Lukaku misses with a series of wild punches.
As Lukaku tries to get set, Matsuo tries to push him back and clinch up but Lukaku manages to avoid the attempt.
Lukaku misses with a wild combination.
Romelu Lukaku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lukaku misses with a double jab.
Lukaku walks into a jab.
No joy there for Lukaku , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Matsuo. Lukaku shrugs it off though.
Lukaku connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Matsuo's hands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lukaku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matsuo.
Matsuo slips a jab and a cross from Lukaku .
Lukaku on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lukaku misses with the combination.
Matsuo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lukaku darts in trying to clinch
and Matsuo counters with a three punch combo that has Lukaku backing up. Lukaku nods at Matsuo to acknowledge the strikes.
Lukaku connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Lukaku is looking to clinch but Matsuo is avoiding it.

Lukaku misses with a jab, cross combination.
Matsuo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Matsuo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lukaku tries to clinch up but Matsuo circles away and keeps his distance.
Lukaku throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matsuo.
Matsuo pushes Lukaku away with a front kick.
Damian Matsuo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lukaku looks winded!
Matsuo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Lukaku tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matsuo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lukaku somewhat.
Matsuo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Matsuo misses with a series of wild punches.
Lukaku wants to clinch up but Matsuo keeps it at a distance.
Lukaku lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Lukaku throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matsuo.

Lukaku walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Matsuo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Matsuo throws a nice inside leg kick.
Matsuo throws a right hand that Lukaku ducks under and follows up with a left that Lukaku also avoids with ease.
Lukaku swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Matsuo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lukaku has time to react.
Matsuo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Matsuo counters with a crisp one two that drops Lukaku ! Matsuo thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lukaku to his feet! Lukaku is in big trouble!
Lukaku is rocked!
Lukaku swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Matsuo counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Lukaku to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Matsuo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Damian Matsuo!
