The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall throws an off balance right hand

and Black counters with a takedown into side control.

Hall is rocked!

Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Oh Hall is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Black tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Black is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hall has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hall seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Black goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hall rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Black's guard! Nice work there by Hall!

Hall postures up in Black's guard and throws a big left but Black blocks it.
Black seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hall is looking to work some ground and pound but Black has wrist control.

Black pulls Hall in close to prevent any damage.

Hall throws an elbow that misses. Black uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hall's guard. Nice move by Black!

Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Black slips nicely into half guard.
Black is taking a breather. Hall says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Black closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Hall! Black dives in looking to finish! Hall is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
