PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clement Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grizzly Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Grizzly Adams was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams darts in trying to clinch

and Ross counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Adams!

Ross decides to stand back up.
Adams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ross drops down looking for a counter takedown but Adams sprawls and moves away.

and Ross counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ross.
Ross not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ross has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Adams is proving hard to escape from.
Ross won't allow Adams to sweep him here.

Ross stands up and waves to Adams to follow him.
Adams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ross tries to avoid it but Adams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ross to the ground. Ross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams wants to sweep but no luck.
Ross could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ross seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Adams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Adams is tightening it up a little... Ross has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ross reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ross taps out! Nice BJJ there by Adams!
