Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheng Fu Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoddy Body (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cheng Fu Lao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shoddy Body!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu Lao moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Body avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Body closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fu Lao to the mat! Fu Lao manages to get full guard.
Body is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Body postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Body gets to his feet - Fu Lao follows without any prompting.
Fu Lao scores with a head kick. Body tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Body on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Fu Lao thuds his shin into the meat of Body's side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Body misses with a takedown attempt - Fu Lao sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fu Lao lets loose with a powerful body kick. Body will feel that in the morning.
Fu Lao lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Body circles away from the clinch attempt.
Body darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fu Lao tries to kick Body off but Body keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Body decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Body shoots in looking for a takedown. Fu Lao tries to sprawl out of it but Body keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fu Lao manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fu Lao lands a nice hook to Body's body. Body takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fu Lao lands with an uppercut that bounces Body off the cage and back into range.
Body has a takedown stuffed.
Cheng Fu Lao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoddy Body.
Body fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fu Lao sprawls well initially but Body persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fu Lao won't allow Body to pass to mount.
Body lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fu Lao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Body on the ground.
Body is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Body is pressing down on Fu Lao's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fu Lao is holding on for now.
Body is taking a breather. Fu Lao says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fu Lao wants to get back to full guard but Body has passed into side control.
Body is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fu Lao is trying to escape and Body transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fu Lao is forced to tap! Nice work there by Body! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shoddy Body!
