The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Medina or perhaps it was just good defense by Thrash, which made it look bad.

Thrash looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Thrash trying to control the pace.
Thrash tries to stand but can't do so whilst Medina controls his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thrash landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Medina looking for submissions off his back.
Thrash trying to mount his opponent but Medina defends it.

Thrash has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

It looks like Shaun Medina has been cut.
Medina could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
BOOM! Thrash connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jimmy Thrash decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
