Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leonid Panteleev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelyanenko!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panteleev tests Emelyanenko's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Panteleev closes the distance and pushes Emelyanenko back into the cage.
Emelyanenko's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Emelyanenko is looking to break free of the clinch but Panteleev has double underhooks.
Panteleev working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Panteleev lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Panteleev lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Panteleev scores with a shoulder strike.
Panteleev misses with a hook from the clinch.
Emelyanenko tries for a takedown. No joy.

Panteleev lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Panteleev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Panteleev connects with a body shot.
Panteleev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Panteleev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Emelyanenko circles away quickly and effectively.
Panteleev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Emelyanenko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Panteleev lands with a straight right. Emelyanenko didn't see that one coming.
Emelyanenko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Panteleev clobbers Emelyanenko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Panteleev cracks Emelyanenko with a right hand to the side of the head.
A punch combination from Panteleev misses.
Panteleev scores with the left hand. Emelyanenko knows he should have avoided that one.
Panteleev works over Emelyanenko's head and body with a nice combination.
Emelyanenko is rocked!
Panteleev lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Emelyanenko out cold! Emelyanenko is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Leonid Panteleev!
