Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walt Grace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quin Kenobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kenobi gets caught napping as Grace dives in and scores a takedown. Kenobi manages to retain guard.
Grace throwing strikes but missing.
Grace stays in close to Kenobi's body and controls the position.
Grace wants to pass the guard but Kenobi is keeping the position.
Kenobi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grace's guard.

Grace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kenobi is controlling him.
Kenobi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kenobi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grace has escaped the position, nice work there.
Grace is trying to control Kenobi's posture but Kenobi avoids it.

Grace stops Kenobi from passing to mount.
Grace is not content to let Kenobi control the position.
Grace is looking for a sweep.

Kenobi tries to advance to mount but Grace denies him.
Grace is trying to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kenobi trying to control the position but Grace is working away.
Kenobi grinds an elbow into Grace's temple.
Kenobi is looking to take a break and control but Grace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kenobi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Grace knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Grace tries to buck Kenobi off but Kenobi is having none of it.

Kenobi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grace, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Grace's face as Kenobi controls the position.
Grace is trying to get back to half guard.
Grace is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kenobi asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Grace defending against the ground and pound.

Grace darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kenobi wants to control but Grace is keeping busy.

Kenobi trying to hold on to Grace's head to control him but Grace postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kenobi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kenobi.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kenobi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grace to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Grace postures up.

Kenobi wants to sweep here but Grace controlling him for the moment.
Grace trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenobi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kenobi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kenobi swats away the attempt to clinch by Grace.
Grace finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Grace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kenobi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kenobi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kenobi lands in his opponent's guard.
Grace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kenobi is controlling him.
Kenobi slips nicely into half guard.
Kenobi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grace keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kenobi in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Grace tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kenobi!
