Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Allan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Marcus Thompson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marcus Thompson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Allan did well to prevent Thompson getting side control.
Allan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Allan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thompson is working away from the top position though.
Thompson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Allan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thompson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Allan has his foot on Thompson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thompson works his way back into a safe position though.
Thompson throws a strike but Allan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Thompson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Allan, pushing him back against the cage.

Allan is trying to pull guard but Thompson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Thompson swings wildly with an uppercut but Allan uses good head movement to avoid it.

A left hand lands to the body for Allan.

Allan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Allan misses with a takedown attempt - Thompson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Marcus Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Allan.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thompson.
Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by Allan.
Thompson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Thompson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Thompson leaves Allan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Allan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thompson but Thompson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Thompson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Allan on his heels. He'll look to pass Allan's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Allan is trying to control the position but Thompson postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Allan is on top in guard.

Allan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thompson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Allan is pushing down on Thompson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thompson is fighting to maintain full guard but Allan has managed to sneak the leg through.

Thompson is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Allan has taken his back!

I really don't envy Thompson right now.

Allan is trying to stick to Thompson's back but Thompson is turning into Allan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Allan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Thompson.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Allan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allan off to one side.
