Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jansen Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey has chosen not alone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grey swivels and escapes.
Grey looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Grey fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grey tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Grey to see if he's OK.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Grey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grey is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots.

Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Johnson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Grey is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Johnson yanks on the arm and Grey is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Johnson.
