Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sead Macak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Schumacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sead Macak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Schumacher !
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Schumacher as Macak shoots in.

Macak closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Schumacher quickly recovers to half guard.
Schumacher gets full guard.
Schumacher is looking to stand up but Macak isn't so interested in that idea.

Schumacher is looking for a triangle but Macak pushes his legs off easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schumacher can do anything to dispel that myth.
Schumacher keeping moving, preventing Macak from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schumacher is trying to control the position but Macak postures up.
Macak throwing strikes but missing.

Schumacher scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Macak wants to control from the top but Schumacher keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Macak connects with a high kick.


It looks like Bob Schumacher has been cut.
Macak throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Macak tries to clinch but Schumacher moves out of range.
Schumacher moves in looking to clinch but Macak pushes him off.
Macak fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Macak closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Schumacher did well to prevent Macak getting side control.

Schumacher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Schumacher wants to control but Macak is keeping busy.
Schumacher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Schumacher goes for a double leg but Macak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Macak continues to drive forward.

Schumacher clinches up with Macak and pushes him back against the cage.

Schumacher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Schumacher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Macak wants to control from the top but Schumacher keeps moving.
Schumacher wants to control the position but Macak says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Macak is thwarting Schumacher 's attempts to control the position.
Macak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Schumacher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Macak perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Macak has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Schumacher works to full guard.
Schumacher is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Schumacher escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Macak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sead Macak dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bob Schumacher 's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Macak darts in looking for a takedown but Schumacher gets double underhooks and turns Macak into the cage.
Schumacher should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Macak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Schumacher tries to clinch up.
Macak tries to counter by clinching up but Schumacher breaks away and moves out of range.
Schumacher tries a head kick but it misses.
Schumacher is looking to clinch but Macak is avoiding it.
Schumacher wants to clinch up but Macak keeps it at a distance.
Macak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schumacher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Macak was covering up waiting for the punch and Schumacher finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sead Macak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Macak throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Schumacher won't allow Macak to get back to his feet.

Schumacher gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Schumacher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Schumacher wants it to stay on the feet.
Schumacher counters with a body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Macak shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sead Macak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schumacher shoots in looking for a takedown. Macak tries to sprawl out of it but Schumacher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Macak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Macak won't allow Schumacher to sweep him here.
Schumacher is still trying to improve position.

Macak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schumacher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Macak has managed to get both his arms back between Schumacher 's legs - danger averted.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Schumacher shoots in for a double leg but Macak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Schumacher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Macak closes the distance and clinches.

Schumacher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Schumacher throws a head kick but Macak moves out of range.
Schumacher throws the left hand but Macak avoids the punch easily.

Macak drives through and clinches with Schumacher against the cage.
Schumacher is stalling here.
Macak goes for a takedown in the clinch but Schumacher prevents it.
Schumacher is trying to force a seperation but Macak has the dominant position.
Schumacher jumps guard but Macak stands there with Schumacher around his waist. Schumacher gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Schumacher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Macak has him pressed against the cage.
Macak is trying to pull guard but Schumacher turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Macak tries for a takedown. No joy.
Schumacher controlling the action here for a moment.

Macak is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Schumacher can't fight it off and eventually Macak manages to take the fight to the floor. Schumacher looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sead Macak will probably get the nod.

Macak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Schumacher wants to control but Macak is keeping busy.
Schumacher tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Macak has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Macak is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schumacher can do to turn this around?

BOOM! Macak connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Macak closes the distance and clinches up with Schumacher , looking for a takedown. Macak pushes Schumacher against the cage but Schumacher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Schumacher swats away the attempt to clinch by Macak.
Bob Schumacher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Macak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schumacher avoids it really well and circles away.
Schumacher steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Macak.
Sead Macak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Macak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schumacher 's waist but Schumacher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Macak off to one side.
Schumacher steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Macak.

Schumacher dives in and scores a takedown into Macak's guard.
Macak has momentary wrist control but Schumacher slips an elbow through the middle.

Schumacher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sead Macak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sead Macak showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Macak has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
