Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dagursson throws a lazy head kick

and Talahan counters with a shoot takedown. Dagursson fights it but they end up in guard.
Talahan is pushing down on Dagursson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dagursson is fighting to maintain full guard but Talahan has managed to sneak the leg through.
Talahan uses his free foot to push down on Dagursson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dagursson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Talahan fails to move to back control.

Talahan moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dagursson has worked his arm free - good work by Dagursson!
Dagursson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Talahan swings around for an armbar but Dagursson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Talahan's guard.
Dagursson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dagursson wants to control from the top but Talahan keeps moving.

Talahan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dagursson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Talahan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dagursson is aware though and is defending well.
Dagursson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Talahan on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dagursson has his hands clasped together but Talahan extends and breaks Dagursson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Talahan.

Zip Talahan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
