Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oldemar Murtinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Puhovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oldemar Murtinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Puhovin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puhovin feints and as Murtinho raises his hands in defense, Puhovin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Puhovin wants to control from the top but Murtinho keeps moving.
Puhovin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Murtinho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Puhovin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Puhovin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Puhovin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, Oldemar Murtinho stepped up to the mic, saying 'That loss sucked. Nobody likes to lose, but my opponent deserved the win.'.
