PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Fianna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frank Fianna was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fianna is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vaughan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vaughan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vaughan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fianna dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Fianna drives through and clinches with Vaughan against the cage.
Vaughan can't break the clinch.

Vaughan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vaughan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fianna as he jumps to the side.

Fianna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vaughan, pushing him back against the cage.
Vaughan tries to break free but Fianna pushes him back against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Fianna.

Fianna jumps guard and drags Vaughan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fianna tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fianna controls Vaughan momentarily but Vaughan frees himself.
Fianna has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Fianna is looking for a triangle but Vaughan pushes his legs off easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fianna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vaughan pinned against the cage. Vaughan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fianna throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fianna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vaughan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fianna swivels and escapes.

Fianna gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fianna is looking to get back to is feet but Vaughan passes into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
