The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rude throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Akulenko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Akulenko forces Rude back against the cage and clinches.
Rude doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Akulenko.
Rude holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Akulenko manages to break the clinch.
Akulenko misses with the body kick
and Rude counters with a nice uppercut.
Akulenko closes the distance and pushes Rude back into the cage.
Rude working hard to break the clinch.
Akulenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Rude counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rude takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Akulenko scores with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Akulenko misses with a leg kick.
Akulenko circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rude drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Akulenko follows Rude to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eugeniy Akulenko!
Eugeniy Akulenko got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
