The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokoro misses with a body shot.
Tumoko closes the distance but Tokoro moves to the side

and Tokoro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tumoko!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Tokoro stalls from top position.
Tokoro tries to advance to mount but Tumoko denies him.
Tokoro connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tumoko some visible discomfort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tokoro in side control, throwing shots but Tumoko defends.
Tumoko takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tokoro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tokoro has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tumoko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tokoro yanks on the arm and Tumoko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tokoro.
