Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Alderete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piechocki has chosen Thunder as his entrance music. Diego Alderete has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Alderete!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ariel Piechocki!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alderete fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alderete misses with a two punch combination.
Piechocki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Piechocki swinging wildly here.
Piechocki circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alderete fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alderete dives in for a single leg takedown but Piechocki sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alderete.
Piechocki misses with a head kick.

Piechocki lands a big head kick that sends Alderete tumbling to the mat! Piechocki takes a step backwards and waves Alderete back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Diego Alderete has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alderete gets a double leg takedown into Piechocki's guard.
Piechocki looking for a sweep. Not yet Piechocki, not yet.
Alderete looking to pass the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Piechocki holds on and takes a little breather.

Piechocki manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Alderete wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Piechocki throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Alderete throws a wild hook but Piechocki just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Alderete gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - Piechocki raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ariel Piechocki!
