Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myke Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myke Tyson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francis Atkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myke Tyson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tyson.

Tyson moves into range and clinches up with Atkins.
Tyson letting Atkins take a breather here.

Tyson drags the fight down to the ground.
Tyson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Atkins is now in half guard.
Atkins content to control rather than advance.
Tyson is looking for a sweep. Atkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Atkins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Atkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tyson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Atkins really is a fat lump.
Tyson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Atkins manages to mount him!
Tyson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Atkins controlling the pace for now.

Atkins is landing with some decent strikes but Tyson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tyson wants to control but Atkins is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Atkins controlling the pace for now.
Tyson tries to hold on but Atkins pushes him away.

Atkins controlling from the full mount.
Tyson working to try and regain half guard.
Atkins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Atkins with shots to the head and body - Tyson looks very uncomfortable down there.

Tyson has given up his back here. Will Atkins look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Tyson takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Tyson wants to get back to his feet.
Atkins connects with a big shot to the side of Tyson's head.

Tyson forces Atkins back against the cage and clinches.
Tyson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Atkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Atkins changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tyson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Francis Atkins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Francis Atkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myke Tyson.
Atkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Atkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tyson is trying to break the clinch but Atkins is controlling him.
Atkins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tyson is defending well.
A frustrated look appears on Tyson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Atkins has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tyson uses from the top position.

Tyson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Atkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Atkins seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Francis Atkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Atkins swings wildly with an uppercut but Tyson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Atkins pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Atkins tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Tyson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Atkins tries to pull guard but Tyson won't allow it.

Atkins controlling from the top position.
Atkins lands a couple of elbows.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Atkins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Atkins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Atkins passes into half guard.

Tyson has one foot on Atkins's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Tyson clinches up with Atkins and pushes him back against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Atkins keeps control of Tyson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tyson is trying to force a seperation but Atkins has the dominant position.
Atkins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tyson can do to turn this around?

Atkins is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Tyson wants to break the clinch but can't.

I think Atkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
