Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rios's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hyde accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rios is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rios throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Hyde is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hyde has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rios utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rios has his foot on Hyde's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hyde works his way back into a safe position though.

Hyde shoots in and bounces Rios off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hyde drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hyde jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hyde wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.
Rios seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hyde drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rios looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rios looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rios!
Hyde manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Rios is looking to control Hyde's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rios avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hyde scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rios is looking to improve his position.

Hyde winds up and cracks Rios with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hyde stands up out of the half guard.
Hyde drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Hyde wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.
Rios looking for a guillotine here but Hyde defends easily.

Hyde got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rios has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hyde has managed to get both his arms back between Rios's legs - danger averted.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hyde closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hyde is thwarting Rios's attempts to control the position.
Rios misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hyde decides to stand up.
Hyde manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rios on his heels. He'll look to pass Rios's guard now, I'm sure.

Hyde lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Rios! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hyde jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
