The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons throws a head kick but Muds moves out of range.
Muds changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Muds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adeilson Muds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Muds drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Simmons is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Muds's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Muds's back!

and Simmons counters with a head kick. That will keep Muds thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Muds closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Simmons to the mat! Simmons manages to get full guard.

Simmons looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Simmons is trying to control the position but Muds postures up.

Muds tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Simmons manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Simmons tries to land knees in the clinch but Muds avoids the damage to the body.
Simmons is working for takedown but Muds is calmly controlling the position for now.
