Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colin Grahame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Stoyanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Colin Grahame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Stoyanov!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoyanov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grahame manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Stoyanov. Those never looked like landing.

Grahame closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stoyanov's guard.
Grahame won't allow Stoyanov to sweep him here.
Stoyanov wants to stand up but Grahame is controlling him.
Grahame is looking to stand up but Stoyanov won't let him.
Grahame is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Stoyanov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grahame defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stoyanov wants to sweep here but Grahame controlling him for the moment.

Grahame would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Grahame's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Grahame rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stoyanov counters with a head kick. That will keep Grahame thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Grahame has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Grahame feints and as Stoyanov raises his hands in defense, Grahame changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stoyanov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Grahame is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Grahame engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Grahame would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Grahame seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Grahame wants to stand but Stoyanov is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stoyanov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grahame pinned against the cage. Grahame gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stoyanov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Grahame counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stoyanov won't be happy with that.

Grahame is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stoyanov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Grahame is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Grahame creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Grahame is looking to take a break and control but Stoyanov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stoyanov tries to bench press Grahame off him but Grahame keeps the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stoyanov is not content to let Grahame control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stoyanov is looking to regain half guard here but Grahame keeps moving and retains side control.

Grahame gets control of Stoyanov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Grahame will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stoyanov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Grahame looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Grahame looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Grahame!

Grahame tries to stand but Stoyanov is controlling his head.
Grahame remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Grahame is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stoyanov can do to turn this around?

Grahame tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

You can see the frustration on Stoyanov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Grahame decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Grahame has closed the distance and engaged Stoyanov in a clinch.

Stoyanov keeps the fight on the outside.
Grahame fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Grahame tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stoyanov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grahame somewhat.

Grahame doesn't manage to clinch there - Stoyanov circles away.
Stoyanov shoots for a takedown but Grahame saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Grahame lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grahame.
Grahame darts in looking for a takedown but Stoyanov gets double underhooks and turns Grahame into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colin Grahame. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Grahame pulls Stoyanov in close to prevent any damage.
Stoyanov is looking to stand up but Grahame won't let him.
Stoyanov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Grahame wants to hit a switch here but Stoyanov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Grahame there!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Stoyanov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stoyanov shoots in looking for a takedown but Grahame manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stoyanov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Grahame shoots in and bounces Stoyanov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Grahame postures up and lands a big shot to Stoyanov's brow.

Grahame is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Stoyanov pushes Grahame off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Stoyanov fails in his attempt to clinch.

Grahame throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stoyanov was covering up waiting for the punch and Grahame finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Grahame tries to free his leg and advance position but Stoyanov is retaining full guard.
Grahame wants to stand but Stoyanov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Stoyanov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Grahame controls the pace.

Grahame wants to control from the top but Stoyanov keeps moving.
Stoyanov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Colin Grahame overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Grahame would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Stoyanov slaps away a takedown attempt from Grahame, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stoyanov leaves Grahame with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Stoyanov. No joy for Grahame on that attempt.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stoyanov closes the distance and clinches up with Grahame, looking for a takedown. Stoyanov pushes Grahame against the cage but Grahame circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stoyanov shoots in for a double leg but Grahame sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stoyanov is wriggling around but Grahame manages to pass to half guard.
Stoyanov is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Grahame is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Grahame is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grahame, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
