Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Horizon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horizon has chosen Bring your whole crew as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Horizon!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eikmeyer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Horizon counters with a nice body kick.
Horizon lands a nice shot that snaps Eikmeyer's head back.
Eikmeyer takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Eikmeyer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Eikmeyer is working for a submission of some sort.
Horizon works his way to full guard. Good work.
Horizon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Horizon has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Eikmeyer tries to free his leg and advance position but Horizon is retaining full guard.
We've been hearing that Eikmeyer has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Eikmeyer is looking to advance position but Horizon has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Horizon working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Eikmeyer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Let's hope that Horizon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Eikmeyer dives in for a single leg takedown but Horizon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Horizon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Horizon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horizon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Eikmeyer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Eikmeyer is looking for a sweep. Horizon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Horizon moves nicely into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Eikmeyer is trying to escape the position but Horizon is controlling the position.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Horizon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Eikmeyer stops Horizon from passing to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horizon gets to mount! Eikmeyer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evan Horizon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Eikmeyer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Horizon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Eikmeyer. That did some damage!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Horizon.
Horizon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Horizon thumps Eikmeyer with a low kick.
Eikmeyer misses with a takedown
and Horizon finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Eikmeyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horizon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horizon circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Eikmeyer drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Horizon follows Eikmeyer to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Horizon!
Evan Horizon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
