The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ross fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Whitaker checks it well.
Whitaker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ross sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Whitaker somewhat.
Ross lands a glancing blow to the side of Whitaker's head.
It looks like Dalton Whitaker has been cut.
Ross is looking to score with low kicks.
Ross thows a leg kick but Whitaker checks it
and Whitaker counters with a nice body shot.
Whitaker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitaker jumps guard but Ross stands there with Whitaker around his waist. Whitaker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Whitaker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ross walks away with a smile on his face. Whitaker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ross drops Whitaker with a huge uppercut! Whitaker drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Ross is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taylor Ross!
