Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McWhiskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McWhiskey has chosen ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

31 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick McWhiskey!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWhiskey swinging wildly here.
Thor misses with a hook. McWhiskey ducked under it nicely.
Thor shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Thor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McWhiskey.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McWhiskey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McWhiskey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thor manages to avoid it.
Thor throws a solid leg kick but McWhiskey takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thor.
Thor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McWhiskey.

McWhiskey is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Thor is defending well for now.

McWhiskey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thor smiles and moves away.
Thor will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

McWhiskey throws a series of punches but Thor moves out of range.

McWhiskey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thor walks away with a smile on his face. McWhiskey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

so McWhiskey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

McWhiskey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McWhiskey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Thor managing to control the position.
Thor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McWhiskey manages to get himself to full guard.
Thor stays in close to McWhiskey's body and controls the position.
McWhiskey is looking for a triangle but Thor pushes his legs off easily.
McWhiskey isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Thor stacks McWhiskey on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Thor!

McWhiskey tries to bench press Thor off him but Thor keeps the position.
McWhiskey is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Thor is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

McWhiskey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McWhiskey.
