Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man misses with a takedown attempt

and Barrera holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Barrera manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Barrera looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Man wants to control from the top but Barrera keeps moving.
Man won't allow Barrera to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Barrera dives on top into guard.

Barrera knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Man on the ground.

Man looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man working for a triangle but Barrera defends it easily.

Man is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Man controls Barrera momentarily but Barrera frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barrera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Barrera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barrera has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted.

Man has his foot on Barrera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barrera works his way back into a safe position though.
Barrera could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Man looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Man throws his legs up looking for a submission but Barrera uses it to pass to side control.
Man is looking for a sweep.

Man holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Man struggling a bit here.
Man is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Barrera is staying active.
Sloppy strikes there by Barrera.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Man wants to control but Barrera postures up.
Man holds on to Barrera's head and controls the position momentarily.
Barrera trying to control the position but Man is working away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Barrera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barrera wants it to stay on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Man doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Barrera counters by clinching up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Waylon Barrera will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Man shoots in looking for a takedown. Barrera tries to sprawl out of it but Man keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barrera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Man gets the takedown into side control.

Man tries for a kimura but Barrera is defending well.

Man in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Barrera is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
