PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Young One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frontalik Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Frontalik Wilder!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. One defends it nicely.
One has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wilder fails with the takedown

and One counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by One.
One throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wilder blocks it with crossed arms.
Wilder is trying to pull guard but One turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Young One has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frontalik Wilder.
One lands a left hand.
One landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wilder jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as One walks away with a smile on his face. Wilder gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
One fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wilder misses with a takedown attempt
and One finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
One bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wilder's head.

It looks like Frontalik Wilder has been cut.
Wilder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and One counters with a thumping low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but One avoids it really well and circles away.

and One counters with a series of strikes. Wilder will be more careful next time no doubt.
Wilder looks winded!
Wilder takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts One, as that shot connected.

One looks for a left high kick but can't connect. One backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Wilder's temple! It sends Wilder violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as One celebrates and the doctors try to help Wilder!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Young One!
A very excited looking Young One made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
