The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mainsbridge has Mbuto up against the cage in a clinch.
Mainsbridge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Seth Mainsbridge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mainsbridge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mainsbridge lands in his opponent's guard.

Mbuto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mainsbridge is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mbuto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mainsbridge's back instead.
Mbuto is looking for the choke from the back position but Mainsbridge is controlling his hands well.
