Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rod Lamasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rod Lamasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to clinch up.

Lamasa tries to sprawl but Lee drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lamasa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lamasa.
Lamasa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

Lamasa stops Lee from standing up.

Lee looking for a guillotine here but Lamasa defends easily.

Lamasa stands up from Lee's guard - Lamasa perhaps looking for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab lands there for Lamasa.

Lamasa throws a head kick that misses

and Lee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lamasa seems keen to control Lee's posture.
Lee trying to control but Lamasa is working from the bottom.
Lamasa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lamasa wants to get back to his feet but Lee is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lee wants to control from the top but Lamasa keeps moving.

Lamasa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lamasa walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lee.
Lee throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Lamasa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lamasa scores with a kick to the body.
Lamasa takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lamasa.
Lamasa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lamasa tries a head kick but it misses.
We've been told by Lamasa's head coaches at Abobomination Training $700 13 LEGIT elite coaches that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Lee blocks a head kick by Lamasa.
Lamasa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A head kick from Lamasa lands but Lee takes it in his stride.
Some wild striking there from Lamasa.
Lamasa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Lamasa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lamasa throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Lee moves out of range of the body kick.
Rod Lamasa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lamasa misses with a body shot.
Lee moves out of range of the body kick from Lamasa.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lamasa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lamasa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

A punch combination from Lee misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lamasa lands a leg kick that knocks Lee off balance momentarily.
Lee closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Lamasa to counter with a crisp jab.

Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lamasa - the referee stops the clock and Lee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lamasa. Lee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.
Lamasa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lee.
Lee tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lamasa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lee on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Lamasa slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Lee closes the distance and clinches.
Lamasa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around?

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lamasa won't be happy with that.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lee working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Lee has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Lamasa.

Bruce Lee's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Lee throws a series of punches but Lamasa moves out of range.
Lamasa connects with a leg kick. Lee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Lamasa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lee tries to move into range but Lamasa moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lee takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Lamasa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lee. That did some damage!

Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No joy there for Lamasa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lamasa lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lamasa.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bruce Lee's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rod Lamasa!
In defeat, Bruce Lee stepped up to the mic, saying 'confucius say , man who go to sleep with problem on mind, wake up with solution in hand.'.
