Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Burtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burtsev misses with the combination.
Deleon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Burtsev wants to clinch but Deleon slips to the side
and Deleon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burtsev's knee momentarily.
Burtsev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Burtsev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Deleon gets full guard.
Deleon pulls Burtsev in close to his closed guard and prevents Burtsev from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Deleon is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Deleon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Deleon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Deleon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Deleon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Deleon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burtsev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burtsev can do anything to dispel that myth.
Deleon creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
