Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denver Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Faust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faust avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Faust looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Faust clinches up against the cage.
Carson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Faust's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Carson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Faust walks away with a smile on his face. Carson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Carson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carson wants it to stay on the feet.

Faust shoots in looking for a takedown. Carson tries to sprawl out of it but Faust keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carson jumps guard but Faust stands there with Carson around his waist. Carson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Faust is trying to break the clinch but Carson has him pressed against the cage.
Carson wants to get back to striking at distance but Faust won't allow it.

Carson has hold of one of Faust's legs. Faust is fighting the takedown attempt but Carson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faust is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carson is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Faust dives in for a single leg takedown but Carson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Faust stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Faust on the ground.

Faust got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Faust has managed to get both his arms back between Carson's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Faust shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carson but Carson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Faust does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Carson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faust circles away quickly and effectively.
Carson lands with a kick to the temple. Faust shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Faust shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carson sprawls well. Carson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Faust gets slowly back to his feet.
