Astori lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Whitaker sprawling to the canvas. Astori follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Whitaker hang on?

It looks like Dalton Whitaker has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Astori throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Astori lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Whitaker! More strikes land and this one is all over! Astori jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

After the fight, Kyle Astori was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
