The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregor closes the distance and clinches.
Peters is trying to pull guard but McGregor turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Peters jumps guard but McGregor stands there with Peters around his waist. Peters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Peters lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Peters is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGregor wants to get back to full guard.
Peters working over McGregor with some ground and pound. McGregor looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
McGregor wants to control but Peters is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McGregor tries to roll over but Peters keeps him under control.

Peters is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McGregor is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

After the fight, Jason Peters was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
