Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Hole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kurt Connors!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Hole!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Connors.
Hole misses with a straight right.

Hole gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Connors showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Connors wants to stand and escape but instead Hole has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hole with a nice head shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hole wants to stand but Connors is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hole has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hole throws a big elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Connors trying to control the position.
Hole trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connors wants to get back to his feet but Hole is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hole trying to control the position from guard on top but Connors is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hole postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Connors is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Connors trying to mount his opponent but Hole defends it.
Connors wants to take a breather but Hole is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Connors is looking to pass Hole's guard but actually Hole recovers to full guard.
Connors sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hole's guard.
Connors missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Connors is trying to control. Hole wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hole is trying to stand back up but Connors is controlling him

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Connors takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Connors seems to be looking for submissions.
It looks like Connors is going to stand back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Connors fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hole fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.


It looks like Kurt Connors has been cut.
Connors slips a straight right by Hole.
Hole throws a big shot that misses.
The fighters circling - Hole throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Connors slips under a jab from Hole.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hole scores with a body shot.
Connors is breathing heavily.
Decent striking displayed by Hole there.
Hole leaves Connors with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hole lands with a nice combination. Connors backs away looking to recover.
Connors throws a right hand that Hole ducks under and follows up with a left that Hole also avoids with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hole drops Connors with a beautiful combination! Connors stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hole is looking for the KO!


Connors is rocked!
Hole finds Connors's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Connors flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hole lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Connors will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lou Hole!
