Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Ernst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Ernst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Pablo!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablo dodges the punch combination from Ernst.
Pablo has his takedown stuffed

and Ernst counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pablo won't be happy with that.
Ernst controlling from side mount.
Ernst tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pablo's legs.
Ernst is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pablo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pablo prevents Ernst from improving position.

Ernst will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pablo tries to lock up and control but Ernst gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pablo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ernst is staying active.
Ernst controlling the pace for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pablo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ernst's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ernst avoids the attempt from Pablo to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ernst lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ernst avoids the attempt from Pablo to control.
Ernst controlling from mount.
Ernst continues to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pablo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Tim Ernst dominated that round.
That's time! Ernst's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pablo.
Ernst connects with a jab.
A right-left combo lands from Ernst.
Pablo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ernst throws a sloppy head kick and Pablo moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tim Ernst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Pablo.

and Ernst counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ernst lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ernst.


Pablo is rocked!

Ernst rushes Pablo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ernst stops a takedown attempt from Pablo.
Ernst using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pablo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ernst lands a good knee to the midsection. Pablo won't want to take too many of those.
Ernst lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pablo backwards.
Ernst is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pablo can do to turn this around?
Pablo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pablo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ernst landing knees to the head.
Pablo is still on wobbly legs! Can Ernst finish him?

Ernst throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pablos head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ernst scores with a shoulder strike.
Ernst has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Pablo - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Ernst, and another! Pablo is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Tim Ernst!
An out of breath Tim Ernst thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
