The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Alex Boyd has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boyd.
Sonnen stuns Boyd with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sonnen lands a nice shot to the body.
Sonnen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sonnen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boyd was well out of range. Poor timing from Sonnen.
Boyd looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sonnen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boyd is breathing heavily.
Boyd has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boyd there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sonnen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sonnen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boyd in his tracks.
Sonnen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sonnen thuds a left hand into Boyd's body.
Sonnen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Boyd is rocked!
Boyd backs away from a small jab... but Sonnen lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Boyd crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Sonnen with a spectacular finish!

In his post fight interview, Chael Sonnen gave a big smile as he said 'This fight was very lackluster for me I knew I was going to win and I did, When will they find an opponent who can even scratch me?'.
