Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dee BJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Dee BJ has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Dee BJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davey Smith!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BJ throws a jab when Smith was well out of range.
Jay Dee BJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BJ tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith missing with a left hand there. BJ was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
BJ is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith stuffs the takedown.
Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
BJ shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith sizes up BJ with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
BJ tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
BJ ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BJ tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
BJ darts in trying to clinch
and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

BJ moves into the clinch.
BJ lands a body punch in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
BJ lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Smith taking a breather.
BJ tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Dee BJ. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith misses with a hook.
BJ tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
BJ tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and BJ ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Smith wants to break free but BJ has control.
BJ tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on BJ's shoulder, as BJ tries to avoid the shot.
Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

BJ moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
BJ has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

BJ gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. BJ will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
BJ has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up.
BJ on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if BJ tries to get out of the position.

BJ has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with BJ. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith tries to stand but BJ is controlling from the bottom.

Smith avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smith wants to stand but BJ has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Smith has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing BJ to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smith is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - BJ pulls down on the head and he's put Smith to sleep! This one is all over!
