Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buford Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Prater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prater looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Prater trying to control but Fowler is working from the bottom.
Fowler is striking but Prater is not phased and passes to half guard.
Fowler keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Prater is trying to work for a kimura but Fowler is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prater thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fowler's head.

Fowler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Prater's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Prater's back!
Prater is trying to stand back up.
Prater is trying to remain composed but Fowler is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Fowler misses with an elbow to the head.
Prater manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fowler's guard. Nice work there by Prater.

Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Prater postures up in Fowler's guard and throws a big left but Fowler blocks it.
Fowler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Prater wants to stand but Fowler is controlling his posture from full guard.

Prater is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fowler is controlling him.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Prater holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Prater will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fowler shoots in looking for a takedown. Prater tries to sprawl out of it but Fowler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Prater manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Prater is looking to take a break and control but Fowler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prater throws a strike aimed at the side of Fowler's head but Fowler avoids it well.
Fowler is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Fowler is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Prater is looking to stall here but Fowler recovers full guard.
Prater controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fowler has control of Prater's left arm, preventing Prater from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Prater shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chris Prater showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Prater closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Buford Fowler has been cut.
Fowler shoots for a double leg takedown but Prater sprawls well. He's pushed Fowler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Prater stuffs the takedown attempt from Fowler. Fowler gets slowly back to his feet.
Fowler throws a lazy uppercut
and Prater counters with a nice leg kick.
Prater tries for a takedown but Fowler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Prater tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fowler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Buford Fowler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Prater misses with a takedown attempt - Fowler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fowler doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Prater connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Prater is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Fowler is in big trouble! Prater is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Fowler. Poor guy.
