The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maverick has Miyamoto up against the cage in a clinch.
Maverick is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Miyamoto is defending well for now.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Miyamoto has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Miyamoto dips a shoulder and cracks Maverick with a mighty uppercut! Maverick falls back against the cage and Miyamoto unloads with a barrage of strikes! Maverick is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Miyamoto screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
