Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Chuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weidman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, King Fantastic- West Coast Synthesizer . Chuck has chosen You Ain't Stoppin Me as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Weidman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Chuck!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Chuck - just one landing.
Chuck dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Weidman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chuck lands a nice hook to Weidman's body. Weidman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Weidman shoots in and drives through. Chuck sprawls well.
Chuck cracks Weidman with an open hand slap.
Chuck lands a nice shot to the body.
Vincent Chuck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weidman moves out of range of the strikes.
Weidman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chuck throws a low kick but Weidman avoids it.
Chuck throws out a loose jab but Weidman uses good head movement to avoid it.

Chuck throws a series of punches but Weidman moves out of range.
Chuck swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Weidman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chuck defends well and Weidman ends up having to push Chuck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chuck pushes Weidman back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Weidman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chuck gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Chuck keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Chuck looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Weidman shoots in for a takedown but Chuck shows good takedown defense.
Chuck lands a nice shot that snaps Weidman's head back.

Weidman gets a double leg takedown into Chuck's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weidman is looking to advance position but Chuck has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chuck decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Vincent Chuck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chuck misses with a double jab.

A big right from Chuck misses.
Chuck leaves Weidman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chuck paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Weidman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Weidman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Weidman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chuck will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chuck scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Chuck shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Weidman eats them both and turns towards Chuck to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Weidman slips a jab from Chuck.

Weidman dives in and scores a takedown into Chuck's guard.

Weidman wants to control from the top but Chuck keeps moving.
Weidman prevents Chuck from getting back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Weidman is really struggling to control Chuck but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anderson Weidman.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chuck, as that shot connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vincent Chuck dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Weidman moves out of range as Chuck strikes.
Weidman blocks a jab.
Chuck fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weidman on the side of the head.
Chuck throws a jab but it's blocked by Weidman.
Chuck fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Chuck jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chuck throws a body punch but Weidman moves out of range.
Weidman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chuck tries to avoid it but Weidman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chuck to the ground. Chuck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Weidman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chuck did well to prevent Weidman getting side control.

Chuck is refusing to be controlled, as Weidman sits in half guard.

Weidman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Weidman works his way into full mount!

Weidman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Chuck wants to control but Weidman is having none of it.

Weidman is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Weidman!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Anderson Weidman!
An intense looking Anderson Weidman took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'For a guy I knew I would be retiring this was a great fight and thanks to the QFC for putting together the fight the fans want but just like all my fights "The Champ" has to remain Undefeated and Undisputed.'.
Vincent Chuck was interviewed post fight and said 'Wow how did I lose this one'.
