Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lukks Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lukks Fedor has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lukks Fedor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fedor scores with a takedown into Mir's guard.

Mir throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Mir wants to stand and escape but Fedor is having none of it.
Fedor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fedor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fedor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fedor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mir keeps working.
Fedor happy to just control the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fedor throws an elbow but Mir slips to the side and avoids it well.
Mir is not content to let Fedor control the position.
Mir struggling a bit here.
Mir gets back to half guard.
Fedor could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mir wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fedor moves nicely into side control.
Fedor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mir keeps working.
Fedor controlling the position.
Mir sneaks back into half guard.
Fedor tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mir knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Fedor decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mir has his takedown stuffed
and Fedor counters with a nice uppercut.

Fedor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mir's guard.
Fedor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.
Mir wants to sweep here but Fedor controlling him for the moment.

Fedor wants to stand but Mir is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fedor works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mir wants to control but Fedor is keeping busy.
Fedor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mir does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fedor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Fedor stays in close to Mir's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukks Fedor dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mir with a poor takedown

so Fedor counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mir tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fedor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fedor trying to control but Mir is working from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fedor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Fedor is looking to stand up but Mir won't let him.
Fedor postures up in Mir's guard and throws a big left but Mir blocks it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fedor shoots in and bounces Mir off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fedor wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fedor has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mir is proving hard to escape from.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fedor is controlling him.

Fedor stays in close to Mir's body and controls the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mir keeping moving, preventing Fedor from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mir throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Fedor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mir!
Mir tries to reverse the position but Fedor maintains control.

Fedor stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Fedor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mir wants to clinch

and Fedor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Mir looking for a guillotine here but Fedor defends easily.
Fedor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fedor would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mir looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukks Fedor dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Fedor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mir tries to avoid it but Fedor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mir to the ground. Mir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mir changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fedor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Fedor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fedor is looking for a sweep.
Fedor stops Mir from passing to mount.

Mir has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fedor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mir as he avoids it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mir rushes Fedor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mir manages to pull guard.
Fedor trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mir keeping full guard, as Fedor tries to pass.
Mir has Fedor pulled in close to control his posture.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fedor trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mir working for a triangle but Fedor defends it easily.
Fedor trying to control but Mir is working from the bottom.
Fedor controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mir wants to stand but Fedor is controlling the position.
Fedor sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Fedor is looking to stand up but Mir won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mir controlling the position.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Fedor wanted to stand there but Mir had control of the position.
Fedor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fedor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mir works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mir misses with a hook.
Fedor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Frank Mir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lukks Fedor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nice sprawl there from Fedor as Mir shoots in.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank Mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fedor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
