The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Brock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aleksewicz is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aleksewicz manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Brock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Aleksewicz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working.

Aleksewicz postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Brock to stand up.

Brock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aleksewicz as he jumps to the side.

Brock gets caught napping as Aleksewicz dives in and scores a takedown. Brock manages to retain guard.
Brock can't keep his opponent in guard - Aleksewicz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Aleksewicz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aleksewicz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brock on his heels. He'll look to pass Brock's guard now, I'm sure.
