Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Dirac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimo Paterno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dirac decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Dirac is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Paterno can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Paterno enables Dirac to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Paterno manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dirac sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Paterno's guard.

Dirac swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Paterno is now in Dirac's guard. A big mistake from Dirac there, giving up the dominant position!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dirac has his feet on Paterno's thighs here. He's pushed Paterno off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Paterno screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
