Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lakamen Kapso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendricks has chosen LL COOL J MOMMA SAY KNOCK YOU OUT as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, JB Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kapso pushes Hendricks up against the cage in a clinch.
Hendricks wants to get back to striking at distance but Kapso won't allow it.
Kapso is trying to stall.

Kapso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kapso wants to clinch.
Kapso shoots in but Hendricks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hendricks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kapso drives through with a takedown into Hendricks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Hendricks wants to stand and escape but Kapso is having none of it.

Hendricks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hendricks tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kapso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hendricks looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kapso could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kapso is looking to improve his position but Hendricks isn't that keen on the idea.
BOOM! Hendricks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hendricks is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kapso has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Kapso is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hendricks gets his way!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hendricks lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kapso backs up against the cage.

Kapso gets caught flat footed, as Hendricks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hendricks stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Kapso is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

JB Hendricks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Hendricks. No joy for Kapso on that attempt.
Hendricks ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hendricks drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kapso manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hendricks has Kapso in his guard.

Kapso is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hendricks is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
