The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Day waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Aldo.
Day goes for a double leg but Aldo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aldo continues to drive forward.
Aldo prevents the takedown attempt.
Day drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aldo pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmed Day. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aldo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Day's guard.
Day has a closed guard, preventing Aldo from standing up.
Aldo won't allow Day to sweep him here.

Day wriggles free and stands up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Aldo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Day napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Aldo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Day is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Aldo wants to stand but Day is controlling his arm.

Aldo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Day keeps working.
Day tries to buck Aldo off but Aldo is having none of it.
Day is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Aldo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Aldo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Day could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Aldo has cracked it and Day is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Aldo!
